Specialized Utility Replacement/Repair
Oregon State University’s campus is similar to a small City, in that it owns its utilities and streets. Over the past decade we have provided numerous innovative, long-range design and repair services, often times under emergency conditions, while allowing the buildings to provide uninterrupted services. Some examples follow:
Memorial Union Sanitary Sewer Repair & Replacement Project
The Memorial Union Building on OSU’s campus owned this project. It required the design and relocation for a new sanitary sewer mainline to replace the existing deteriorated and failed mainline. The project budget was $225,000.
Plageman Hall Sewer Replacement
This project became an emergency when one of the Student Health Center’s main sewer laterals collapsed and was backing sewer into the building. It required design, project management, and construction management to implement a quick and thorough solution. The project budget was $20,000, and owned by the Student Health Department on OSU campus.
Arnold Dining Center Sewer Replacement
This project required a time sensitive investigation, design, and replacement, after the failure of the sanitary sewer under the kitchen concrete floor, at the largest catering and dining service at OSU. The design solution allowed the work to be completed while not interrupting the cooking and catering facility. The project budget was $40,000 and owned by the University Housing and Dining department.
